This Privacy Policy explains how Lingoch collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our AI video chat application that focuses on cultural exploration and global life. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to ensuring that any information processed through the App is handled in a transparent and secure manner. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it.

Notably, you can use the App without registering an account or providing any personal identification information. We do not collect, store, or process any facial recognition information or biometric data related to your face at any time during your use of the App.

• 1. Information We Do Not Collect

  To emphasize, we do not collect the following types of information under any circumstances:

  • Facial information, facial recognition data, or any other biometric data related to your physical appearance;
  • Account-related information (since no account registration is required to use the App), such as usernames, passwords, email addresses for registration, or phone numbers;
  • Personal identification information, such as your real name, date of birth, nationality, ID card number, passport number, or driver's license number;
  • Financial information, such as bank account details, credit card numbers, or payment transaction records;
  • Location information, including your precise geographic location or approximate location data from your device;
  • Device information beyond what is strictly necessary for the App to function (see Section 2 for details on necessary device-related information).

• 2. Information We May Collect and Use

  When you use the App, we may collect and process certain limited information that is necessary to provide and improve the App's core functions. All such information is processed temporarily and is closely related to your current use session, with no long-term storage of personal data.

  • 2.1 Voice Data for Real-Time Functionality

    To enable the real-time speech-to-text, AI intelligent reply, and text-to-speech functions of the App, we need to temporarily process the voice data you input during the video chat. This voice data is only used for the following purposes during your current chat session:

    • Converting your voice to text to enable the AI to understand your conversation content;
    • Generating AI intelligent replies based on the converted text;
    • Converting the AI's text replies back to voice for you to hear.

    Your voice data is processed in real time within the current chat session and is automatically deleted immediately after the chat ends (i.e., when you exit the chat interface or close the App). We do not store your voice data on any of our servers or third-party servers after the chat session concludes.

  • 2.2 Temporary Conversation Text Data

    During the chat session, the text generated by converting your voice (speech-to-text) and the text of the AI's intelligent replies will be temporarily stored in the App's local cache. This temporary storage is only to display the conversation content on the chat interface for your reference during the current session. Once you exit the chat interface or close the App, this temporary conversation text data will be automatically cleared from your device's local cache and will not be uploaded to our servers or shared with any third parties.

  • 2.3 Limited Device Information

    To ensure the App runs stably and provides a smooth user experience, we may collect very limited non-personal device information, such as your device's operating system type (e.g., iOS or Android), operating system version, and App version. This information is only used to identify and fix technical issues, optimize the App's performance for different devices, and improve the overall user experience. This device information is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not collect any other device information, such as device ID, IMEI, or hardware configuration.

• 3. Storage of Information

  As stated above, all information we process (including voice data and conversation text data) is temporary and is not stored long-term. The only information that may be stored for a short period is the limited anonymized device information mentioned in Section 2.3, which is stored on our secure servers for a maximum of 30 days. After 30 days, this anonymized device information is automatically deleted. We do not store any personal data that can identify you, and we will never transfer or store your information in any jurisdiction without complying with this Privacy Policy.

• 4. Protection of Information

  We take the security of your information very seriously and have implemented a series of technical and organizational security measures to protect the information processed by the App from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction. These measures include, but are not limited to, data encryption during transmission, secure local cache management on the device, access control to our servers, and regular security audits and updates of the App's code. Despite these measures, please note that no method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure. We will, however, use our best efforts to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

• 5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

  We will never share, rent, sell, or disclose any information processed through the App to any third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your explicit prior consent: If you actively agree to share certain information with a third party (which is not required for the App's core functions), we will only share the information as you authorize;
  • To provide necessary technical support: We may engage third-party service providers to assist us in maintaining the App's servers, optimizing performance, or fixing technical issues. These third-party service providers will only have access to the anonymized device information mentioned in Section 2.3, and they are obligated to comply with this Privacy Policy and relevant data protection requirements, and may not use this information for any other purposes;
  • To comply with applicable obligations: If we are required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process (such as a court order or subpoena) to disclose information, we will do so only to the extent necessary to fulfill that obligation. However, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of such a request if permitted by law.

  We will not share any voice data, conversation text data, or any other information that can identify you personally with any third parties.

• 6. Your Control Over Information

  You have full control over the information processed during your use of the App:

  • You can stop the App from processing your voice data at any time by ending the chat session (exiting the chat interface) or closing the App. Once you do so, the voice data and conversation text data will be automatically deleted;
  • You can clear the App's local cache at any time through your device's settings, which will delete any temporary conversation text data stored locally;
  • Since no account is required, you can stop using the App at any time without needing to cancel an account or delete personal information (as we do not store any personal information about you).

• 7. Children's Privacy

  The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently processed information from a child under 13, we will immediately delete that information and take steps to prevent such incidents from happening again. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has used the App, please contact us using the information provided in Section 8, and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
